Hoezo vakantie? Gewoon lekker voetballen!

2 mei 2017, 10:28 Sport RODEN – Het is bij veel clubs aan de orde van de dag: in elke schoolvakantie vinden de trainingen geen doorgang. De trainer is er niet, spelers zijn er niet of men wil gewoon even een weekje rust. Johan Wardenier, zelf al jarenlang voetbaltrainer, vindt dat je in de vakanties juist extra activiteiten moet organiseren. En dus organiseerde hij de eerste editie van het Mega 4X4 voetbaltoernooi. Weliswaar op de velden van VV Roden, maar bedoeld voor kinderen uit heel Noordenveld. In Leek organiseerde Johan dergelijke evenementen al eerder. Hoewel Johan nog niet helemaal tevreden was over de opkomst, streden de spelers op het scherpst van de snede om de eer. Dat deden ze in viertallen. Gezien het enthousiasme komt er zeker wel een tweede editie van het toernooi, dan wellicht ook bij een andere voetbalclub in Noordenveld.
